SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah women’s soccer head coach Hideki Nakada has put six matches on his team’s spring schedule, which will stretch from March into April and includes three contests at Ute Field.
The Utes will get their slate underway on March 2 with a home match against a Utah Royals team that includes former Utah goalkeeper Carly Nelson. This match will not be open to the public. This will be the second time the Utes have matched up with the Royals in the spring, with the first instance coming in 2020.
Two contests will be on the docket on March 23, when the Utes will travel to Las Vegas to take on UNLV and California Baptist, then Nakada’s team will come home for a March 30 clash with Utah State. This fixture against the Aggies will be a rematch of a bout won by Utah on Aug. 24, when Taliana Kaufusi scored the only goal in a 1-0 decision.
The Utes’ final home match of the spring will pit them against Weber State on April 6, followed on April 13 by a trip to Provo to square off with BYU. Admission will be free to Utah’s final two home dates.
