TULSA – FC Tulsa has exercised its contract option on Blaine Ferri keeping the midfielder with the club for the upcoming 2024 USL Championship season, following a stellar performance during the 2023 campaign with the club.
During the 2023 season, Ferri showed his versatility and impact on the field, accumulating an impressive 1,918 minutes of playtime across 31 appearances. Displaying a strong defensive presence, Ferri executed 18 clearance, 6 blocks and 32 interceptions, showcasing his commitment on both ends of the pitch
“I can’t wait to get back, get started again and finish what we left off from last season.” Ferri said, “The main goal is to win a championship and believe we have the team to do so.”
Offensively, Ferri demonstrated his playmaking abilities by recording 27 chances created and notching 2 goals throughout the 2023 season.
Ferri’s statistical dominance continued with 103 duels won and 32 tackles in the 2023 season.
Before his impactful stint with FC Tulsa, Ferri inked a deal with North Texas SC in USL League One in 2021-2022 season. Ferri notched four assists in 20 appearances as the club earned a playoff berth.
As North Texas SC transitioned to the MLS Next Pro for the 2022 season, Ferri continued to impress, recording a goal and an assist with an impressive 88% passing accuracy mark.
Ferri’s journey includes a stint with Inter Miami CF II in 2020, then named Fort Lauderdale CF, where he notched one assist. In 2019, Ferri played for SPVGG Greuther Fürth II appearing 19 times and contributing two assists.
On the international stage, Ferri has nearly 50 caps representing the United States at the youth level. A standout moment in his career was his participation in all five of the United States’ U-17 World Cup matches in 2017.
