Liverpool and Man City learn next opponents

The 2023/24 FA Cup fourth-round draw has been made, with Tottenham Hotspur set to host Manchester City.

Liverpool have been drawn at home against the winner of the replay between Norwich City or Bristol Rovers, while Manchester United will visit Newport County or Eastleigh after they beat Wigan on Monday night.

Chelsea, who have already reached the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup under Mauricio Pochettino, will host Aston Villa, who won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League back in September.

The ties will be played across the weekend of 27 January, with television picks to be confirmed soon.

Arsenal and Burnley are the only top-flight teams to be eliminated in the third round so far, though a number of replays will see other high-profile teams fall by the wayside.

The Gunners were beaten by Liverpool on Sunday after Jakub Kiwior’s own goal and Luis Diaz’s late second despite dominating at the Emirates Stadium, while the Clarets were downed by Pedro Porro’s strike from distance on Friday night.

Man City are defending champions but will have to end their hoodoo at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to progress to the fifth round. Spurs have not lost to Pep Guardiola’s side in a home game since 2015 back at White Hart Lane.

Maidstone United, the lowest-ranked team left in the FA Cup after beating League One Stevenage, avoided Premier League opposition and will instead make the trip to Ipswich Town.

League Two side Wrexham have been given an away day at Blackburn Rovers, who are chasing promotion from the Championship.
