Manchester United are closely tracking Girona star left-back Miguel Gutierrez as they plan for January recruitment, according to reports.
With the return of Sergio Reguilon to Tottenham curtailing his half-a-season stint in Manchester, Erik ten Hag‘s side are keen to recruit in the position to provide coverage in a squad that has been depleted by injury for much of the season.
United have endured a turbulent campaign so far, sitting eighth in the Premier League and without European football after finishing bottom of their Champions League group.
The Dutch manager is keen to bolster his squad with additional attacking firepower too, and Gutierrez’s positivity is also thought to be another draw for the Manchester side.
The Real Madrid academy star has enjoyed a towering season at in-form Girona, who sit behind Los Blancos only on goal difference at the top of the table.

As per the Sun, Man United have been present for a number of Gutierrez’s performances with the Spanish side, scouting him most recently during their 4-3 victory against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.
The Red Devils are thought to have been impressed by his footballing intelligence and ability to be an attacking threat as one of the stand-out full-backs of the Spanish season so far.
Mail Sport previously reported that crosstown rivals Manchester City were also keeping tabs on the 22-year-old, who is a regular fixture in Michel Sanchez’s starting XI this season.
