CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Clemson and North Carolina scored semifinal victories Wednesday evening in the 2023 ACC Men’s Soccer Championship and will match up in the championship game on Sunday at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina.

No. 7 seed North Carolina won its second straight road game, earning a 3-1 triumph at No. 6 Syracuse. No. 4 Clemson prevailed, 5-1, at home over No. 9 Louisville. UNC and Clemson did not meet during the 2023 regular season.
 
The Tar Heels advance to their ninth ACC championship game and first since 2018. Clemson moves on to its 13th ACC title game, with its fourth appearance in the last five seasons.
 
Tickets for the championship match can be purchased HERE. General admission tickets are $10. Admission is free for youth ages 18 and under, as well as students of ACC institutions (with valid ID). 
 
No. 7 North Carolina 3, No. 6 Syracuse 1
Martin Vician recorded a brace as North Carolina (10-3-5) eliminated the reigning ACC champions in Syracuse, New York. Vician scored just six minutes into the game and the Tar Heels added a second with just under 10 minutes remaining in the first half on a goal from Daniel Kutsch.
 
Syracuse (8-4-7) broke through in the 56th minute on a Nicholas Kaloukian header, but the momentum was short lived as an Orange red card just over a minute later left Syracuse down a man the rest of the way. Vician scored again in the 70th minute for a 3-1 advantage.
 
Andrew Cordes made eight saves for UNC.
 
No. 4 Clemson 5, No. 9 Louisville 1
Clemson (10-3-4) dominated in rolling to a convincing semifinal victory. The Tigers out-shot Louisville (11-5-3), 28-3, and put 18 shots on goal. Ousmane Sylla recorded two first-half goals for the Tigers.
 
The Cardinals’ Gage Guerra knotted the score at 1-1 with a header in the 19th minute, but Clemson scored four unanswered goals in earning the big win.
 
UofL goalkeeper Alex Svetanoff made a career-high 11 saves in the defeat.
