Aikey is the fourth Midfielder of the Year in Stanford history, including the first since Catarina Macario in 2019. Campbell joins Jane Campbell as the only Stanford players in program history to earn Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Year, with the latter earning the award for the 2015 season.
In addition to the yearly awards, Aikey and Campbell each landed on the All-Pac-12 first team, joined by fifth-year players Maya Doms and Kennedy Wesley.
Sophomore Elise Evans and redshirt sophomore Andrea Kitahata earned spots on the second team, while freshmen Mia Bhuta and Shae Harvey landed on the third team as well as the All-Freshman team. The first-year duo was joined by fellow freshmen Erica Grilione and Joelle Jung on the list of standout freshmen.
The eight players to land on either the first, second or third teams are the most for the Cardinal since Stanford placed 10 on the lists in 2018.
Aikey, who was named to the All-Pac-12 second team as a freshman, has scored in eight of 19 matches this year and has contributed a point in 12 of the 19. The team-leader in goals with 10, Aikey is averaging 1.37 points per game to rank third in the Pac-12, while her 3.89 shots per game rank fifth in the Pac-12 and 22nd nationally. The native of Palo Alto, Calif. ranks second in the Pac-12 in points (26) and goals, third in goals per game (.53) and fourth in assists (6). Aikey most recently recorded a hat trick in a 4-0 victory over California on November 3 to conclude the regular season – the third multi-goal game of her career. For her efforts, Aikey was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week.
Campbell, a third-team all-conference selection as a junior a year ago, leads the Pac-12 and ranks sixth in the nation in goals against average (.454), is first in the conference and 19th nationally in save percentage (.865), and third in the Pac-12 in shutouts (7). Campbell is the only Pac-12 goalkeeper to earn at least three Pac-12 weekly honors (4) this year, and garnered the award in three consecutive weeks (September 18, September 25, October 2) to become only the second goalkeeper in Pac-12 history to win three straight – joining Colorado’s Jalen Tompkins from 2016.
