Hisey Named Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year

TUCSON – Arizona fifth-year goalkeeper Hope Hisey has been named the 2023 Women’s Soccer Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete, as announced by the league office on Friday.

Hisey is the second player in program history to garner the honor after Sheaffer Skadsen earned the award in 2015.

Hisey graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Political Science with a 4.0 GPA and currently holds a 4.0 GPA in her Legal Studies master’s program. She was a 2022 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honoree and is a six-time Dean’s List member.

On the field, Hisey broke the program record for career saves during the 2023 season. She set the record at 361, a number that ranks eighth in Pac-12 history. The Tucson, Ariz., native checks into the program career shutout rankings at second with 24 and holds the program record in career starts with 84.
