Florida Plays Host to No. 13 South Carolina Thursday

What Thursday’s Result Means to Both Teams:
Both teams will be looking for a win at The Diz Thursday

  • A win combined with an Arkansas loss Thursday would move South Carolina into a tie with the Razorbacks for the 2023 SEC regular-season title.
  • A win would strengthen Florida’s quest for a SEC Tournament berth as UF currently is No. 12 and needs to be in top 10 to advance. Florida and Tennessee are tied with nine points (UT wins the tie-breaker between UF and UT). A win’s three points would put four teams in range – LSU (10 current points), Auburn and Vanderbilt (11 each) – depending on Thursday results.
  • A tie could also help Florida combined with Tennessee and LSU losses and Mississippi loss or tie as UF would move to 10th (winning tie breaker with LSU)
  • Current SEC standings and tie-breakers
