Liverpool are certain to bring in at least two midfielders this summer and it is now being reported that the Reds are interested in Inter Milan’s Nicolo Barella.
According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Liverpool are considering a move for the Italy international and it is a name that has been linked to Anfield for some time.
Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister, Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch are the other names that have been linked to Liverpool in recent weeks as Jurgen Klopp tries to narrow down his targets for next season.

Barella has a contract at the San Siro until 2026 and it is uncertain how much it would cost to lure the Italian away from the Serie A giants. The 26-year-old has played 45 games this season for the Milan-based club in which he has scored eight goals and assisted a further nine.
It is unknown whether a move to Liverpool interests Barella especially when the Resd are likely to be without Champions League football next season. The Italy international will play in the semi-finals of the competition tomorrow night and if Inter go on to win the competition it would be hard to see the midfielder leaving.
