Arsenal have reportedly been offered Dusan Vlahovic by the striker’s agents after it was revealed the 23-year-old wants to leave Juventus at the end of the season.
Vlahovic moved to Juventus for €70m plus €10m in perfomance-related bonuses, preferring a move to the Old Lady over Arsenal in January 2022, despite he Gunners fighting hard to secure his signature.
Things haven’t gone to plan for the former Fiorentina star, with Juventus about to make it three years in a row without even challenging for the title having won nine Scudettos in a row between 2011 and 2020.
And a report earlier this month claimed Vlahovic – who’s scored 20 goals in 56 appearances for Juve – now wants to leave the club and is ‘no longer an untouchable’, and will be ‘transferable for no less than €90m (£80m)’.
It was claimed in that report that Arsenal director Edu has ‘never given up on the Vlahovic idea since they tried in vain to steal him from Juventus’ while the report also names Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain as potential routes out of the Serie A club.
And now La Stampa (via Sport Witness) claim ‘his agents offer’ him to Arsenal, as well as Bayern Munich ahead of the summer transfer window.
It’s claimed Vlahovic, who’s now goalless in ten games having struggled to thrive in Max Allegri’s system, is ‘not considering staying at the club long-term’.
And a lack of involvement in the Champions League, which is a distinct possibility given Milan in fourth and Roma in fifth are both just two points behind Juve having drawn on Saturday, could further increase Vlahovic’s desire to leave.
His agents have offered him to Arsenal and Bayern because ‘they know both want a striker in the summer transfer window’.
The report adds that Juventus are considering moves for Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund and West Ham’s Gianluca Scamacca as replacements should Vlahovic leave this summer.
