LESS THAN ENCHANTING

New Mexico United is off to a 1-1-3 start, placing them in 11th place to begin the season, however the club does have two games in hand on OCSC. While they have had a bit of a rocky start, they have only played one of their first five matches at home, a place where they have been tough to beat over the years. New Mexico United are coming off a 2-1 victory in the U.S Open Cup against Phoenix on Wednesday.

BUILDING A FOUNDATION IN STUMPTOWN

Orange County SC heads to Albuquerque fresh off the heels of a 3-1 loss to the Portland Timbers of the MLS in the Third Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. While they may not have gotten the result they had hoped for, it was one that was still met with positivity from the group. Sure they lost the match, but there were plenty of positives to take from the match towards the remainder of the USL Championship season. Defender Ryan Doghman is coming off back-to-back Man of the Match performances in league play and forward Emil Nielsen scored in his last league start.

All-time record:

Orange County SC is 1-1-2 against New Mexico United.

HIM-ILAN STANDS ALONE

With a goal against Portland, OCSC forward Milan Iloski rewrote the Orange County history books by notching his 29th goal for the club, becoming the club’s top goal scorer. Now that Iloski has officially passed former Jamaican forward Michael Seaton (28), there’s no telling just how many goals he will score when it is all said and done.
