Manchester United have reportedly stepped up their interest in RB Leipzig winger Dani Olmo, who could look to leave the German club this summer.
The Spain international’s future is said to depend upon whether Leipzig qualify for the Champions League and if not, he could make the switch to Old Trafford.
Olmo’s performances this season have caught the attention of several top European clubs, though, so Man Utd may face competition for his signature.
The attacker began his footballing career in Barcelona’s famed youth academy before he made a switch to Dinamo Zagreb in 2014 – aged just 16.
Playing for the Croatian giants, Olmo scored 34 goals in 124 appearances, as well as making 28 assists, earning him a move to Leipzig in 2020.

However, Man Utd reportedly see this as an opportunity to seal a cut-price deal for the Barca academy graduate, with German outlet Bild claiming he could be available for just £35m this summer.
They add that Leipzig will be under pressure to sell some of their prized assets if they fail to qualify for the Champions League – with Marco Rose’s side currently in fourth place in the table, but only trailed by fifth-place Freiburg by one point.
Olmo is allegedly ‘leaning’ towards a summer departure and with Man Utd attempting to sign him back in January, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Erik ten Hag’s side reignite their interest.
However, as mentioned, Champions League football is a deal-breaker for Olmo, so the Red Devils must cement their own spot in the competition before the Spaniard makes any decisions on his future.
Man Utd currently find themselves in fourth place on the Premier League table, but only trailed by fifth placed Tottenham by three points. Although, they have played one fewer game than Spurs.
While Marcus Rashford has been in incredible scoring form this term, he clearly needs some support from his teammates if the Red Devils want to be serial title contenders again.
Olmo could certainly add some attacking…
