Brentford have reportedly set their asking price for in-demand goalkeeper David Raya.

The Spaniard has spent the last 11 years in England after joining Blackburn Rovers’ academy in 2012, but is now approaching the final year of his contract at Brentford.

The 27-year-old has previously revealed he has turned down two contract offers from his current employers, but still looked likely to remain in the Premier League beyond this season following interest from Manchester United and Tottenham.

He’s also been linked with a number of top teams in Spain, who have been impressed with his performances for the Bees this season.

And clubs will now know how much Raya could potentially set them back in a transfer, after his asking price was revealed recently.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Bees are looking for £35million (€40million) for the Spanish shot-stopper.

The 27-year-old has impressed with his performances in goal for Brentford this season, keeping nine clean sheets in their Premier League campaign. 

His interest from Spurs and Man United comes amid their search for a new No 1, with both David De Gea and Hugo Lloris linked with moves away. 

De Gea’s contract at Old Trafford is due to expire at the end of the season, and he is yet to sign a new deal.

He recently rejected an offer from the Red Devils who want to keep the £375,000-a-week goalkeeper but on reduced terms.

Hugo Lloris has also been Tottenham’s undisputed first-choice for other a decade, but the World Cup winner is now 36 and Spurs are looking for his successor as he moves towards the final stages of his career.
