 Liverpool are ‘preparing a £70 million offer’ for Real Madrid midfielder Aurelian Tchouameni.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were keen on the France international last summer before he moved to the Spanish capital and are now hunting the 23-year-old again.

Tchouameni has impressed in Spain this season and has already picked up a Club World Cup winner’s medal, while England fans will remember from the goal he scored in last year’s World Cup quarter final win over the Three Lions.

Despite only joining Real for £70m last summer, he could now be on the move again, as El Nacional report Liverpool are planning a similar offer to bring him to Anfield.

They also report Tchouameni has been ‘slower than expected’ in adapting to life in Madrid, but that he is highly thought of by the club’s hierarchy, who may be unwilling to let him go.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with another exciting young midfielder in Jude Bellingham, but it remains to be seen whether they will be able to secure his signature amid interest from the likes of Real and Manchester City.
