Lampard for Real Madrid after Chelsea; ‘travesty’ Moyes ‘doesn’t deserve anything’ but relegation

Frank Lampard points instructions to his players

The Mailbox says bringing Frank Lampard back to Chelsea is like re-electing Boris Johnson, while David Moyes deserves nothing but relegation at West Ham. Plus, Erling Haaland, Man Utd, Man City tickets and more…

That’s a good win for Man Utd…
The first half was very fun to watch. Both United and Everton showed up and created a good flow to the game. United was creating a ton of space behind the Everton defenders. Definitely should be up 3 or 4 nil at halftime. Bruno looks like a whole new player playing a bit deeper with the balls he is playing and his defensive work rate. Sancho and Antony have looked lively with the ball. Antony should have scored a few chances but to be fair Pickford has looked really good and is unlucky to be playing for Everton. McTominay finally showing his Scotland goal-scoring form for United. Still think he’s not very good in midfield but if he was just an out-and-out striker maybe there’s a player there. It was a great finish so that’s good to see as well as a Sancho assist.

The second half was a much slower game than the first. Everton got into the game more but really did not threaten United. United put the game to bed when Martial came on and scored which is great to see. It was also fantastic to see Eriksen come on as we have missed him. It was a shame to see Rashford come off as he’s a big part of the team and we lack goals without him. Hopefully, it is nothing too serious and just him being safe by asking to come off when he felt something was off.

Overall, This was a good result for United, especially with a rotated team. Everton never looked dangerous but definitely gave it a go so United could not rest. Everyone did their job for the most part except for Maguire in the first half when Simms was left wide open but luckily he missed. Now we have Casemiro and Eriksen back which should change the game for United and Sabitzer also looks good just in case we need cover or Eriksen. Bruno looked world-class today playing deeper today. I could see Bruno playing as an 8 next to Casemiro with Eriksen playing as the 10 in the future as Bruno looks better a bit further back and it gives Eriksen more space to be creative. Hopefully, Rashford is not too badly injured as we really lack goals without him but other than that that was a good result with a rotated team at home for United.
