Man Utd vs Everton – Premier League: TV channel, team news, lineups & prediction

The Saints take on City

Manchester United and Everton will meet for the third time this season at the weekend. It is the reverse of a Premier League fixture United won 2-1 in October, with the clubs also having been paired together in the FA Cup third round in January – another United win.

The Red Devils come into this one off the back of a dominant but low scoring victory over Brentford in midweek. That marked the end of a three game win-less run in the league following only one point from a possible nine from games against Liverpool, Southampton and Newcastle.

Everton traded Frank Lampard for Sean Dyche towards the end of January and have generally been rewarded after winning as many league games (3) of the nine since then as they had done in the first 21 of the campaign. The Toffees are also unbeaten in their last four after rescuing late draws against both Chelsea and Tottenham in recent outings. But relegation is still a real threat.

Man Utd team news

Casemiro is still suspended, which remains a blow for United, althogh Scott McTominay put in a star performance against Brentford in that role. Christian Eriken is potentially in contention after training with the rest of the squad this week, although Luke Shaw is a doubt after a knock on Wednesday.

Alejandro Garnacho, Tom Heaton and Donny van de Beek are unavailable.

Man Utd predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Malacia; McTominay, Sabitzer; Antony, Fernandes, Rashford; Weghorst.

Everton team news

Abdoulaye Doucoure is suspended following his red card against Tottenham. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a doubt and will be monitored, but Andros Townsend is the only other player definitely missing.

Everton predicted lineup (4-5-1): Pickford; Coleman, Keane, Tarkowski, Godfrey; Iwobi, Garner, Gueye, Onana, McNeil; Gray

Even though the scoring was kept to a minimum thanks to a bit of wayward finishing, United showed their quality against Brentford and will be expecting more of the same against Everton this weekend.

There is no doubt the Toffees have secured better results under Sean Dyche, including a shock victory over Arsenal, but getting anything from this one will be tough.

Prediction: Man Utd 1-0 Everton
