Carlo Ancelotti's speech to Real Madrid dressing room following Barcelona win

A video showing Carlo Ancelotti giving his post-match debrief to his Real Madrid players following their stunning 4-0 Clasico win at Barcelona has emerged online.

Los Blancos travelled to Camp Nou for the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final on Wednesday looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit.

Real Madrid were beaten at Barcelona in March to all but end their hopes of retaining their La Liga crown, though exacted their revenge in style.

Vinicius Junior opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time, before Karim Benzema grabbed his second hat-trick in as many games after the interval.

Ancelotti was seen praising his players in the dressing room post-match in a video posted to Twitter.

“Pride…such pride to watch a game like this,” Ancelotti began.

“Sitting on the bench to watch games is a source of pride for me and for all of us who work with you.

“First, congratulations. Second, I lied, it wasn’t the final! It was the semi-final…we have to play the final!”

After some laughs, Ancelotti’s next proclamation brought a big cheer from his players.

“And third…hey, day off tomorrow!”

Real Madrid will face Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final on May 6 after they stunned Athletic Club in the other semi-final.

Ancelotti notably joked with their manager, Jagoba Arrasate, that they would meet in the showpiece event back in February.
