Boilermakers Draw Cardinals in Spring Exhibition


WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue Soccer team played to a 3-3 draw against Ball State on Saturday afternoon at Folk Field in West Lafayette, Indiana.
 
On a chilly, overcast day with high winds, the Boilermakers scored the game’s first goal before the Cardinals found the equalizer to make it 1-1 after 45 minutes. Two goals after halftime gave Purdue a 3-1 lead before the visitors scored the final two for the 3-3 draw. Saturday’s game was the Boilermakers’ first at Folk Field this spring.
 
Two games into its spring exhibition slate, Purdue is 1-0-1, with three games remaining, all at home.
 
Up next, in-state foe Notre Dame visits West Lafayette on Sunday, April 2, at 3 p.m. ET. Six days later UIC comes to Folk Field, on Saturday, April 8, at noon, followed by the spring finale on Saturday, April 22, against Valparaiso at 12:30 p.m.
 
Each contest at Folk Field will be free and open to the public.
