Barcelona and Inter Milan are among the clubs eyeing up the potential free transfer of Marcus Thuram, who will be out of contract with Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer.
Thuram has impressed in his time in the Bundesliga and also played his role in France reaching the World Cup final in 2022, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him earn a big move in the near future.
As previously revealed by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea were interested in signing Thuram in January, though he wasn’t their priority so it never got particularly advanced.
Writing in today’s exclusive Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside, Romano said that there are two or three Premier League clubs pursuing Thuram this summer, as well as Barcelona and Inter Milan.
The 25-year-old could be a fine option on a free, and Barca did well to exploit that particular market last summer with signings like Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen.
“There are really many clubs interested in Marcus Thuram. Barcelona, Inter but especially 2-3 Premier League clubs,” Romano said.
“It’s open and all of them are informed on the conditions of the deal, while Bayern are currently focused on different targets despite reports on Thuram.”
