Gabby’s Golazo

What. A. Goal!

Gabriel Pereira was the star man at SeatGeek Stadium in August 2022, netting a sensational strike to send City on our way to an impressive triumph with a superb long-range rocket.

Collecting Santiago Rodríguez’s pass 25 yards out, Pereira took a touch before unleashing an unstoppable effort into the top corner. As the commentators remarked at the time, goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina was helpless to stop it.

The decisive goal arrived courtesy of a stroke of good fortune, as Castellanos latched onto Miguel Navarro’s loose defensive pass and finished coolly to ensure the Boys in Blue entered our fifth playoff campaign on a hot streak of four successive wins.

The new campaign marked a new era for the Club with a new man at the helm in former Premier League star and World Cup winner Patrick Vieira – and the Frenchman would begin his tenure with a bang.

City’s first goal of the year would arrive after just ten minutes, as Tommy McNamara…
