HOUSTON – Houston Dynamo FC will host a Season Kickoff Party prior to the opening game of the 2023 campaign on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. CT at Buffalo Bayou Park. Dynamo fans can RSVP at https://www.houstondynamofc.com/season-kickoff-party for the free event.

Tuesday’s event will be the first opportunity for fans to see their favorite players in the recently unveiled El Sol Kit. El Sol celebrates the energy, light and guidance sourced by the Sun and will serve as the primary jersey for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. The luminous kit marks a moment in time with an abundance of orange tones that reflect the next chapter of the two-time MLS Cup champions.
The chest of the jersey features the MD Anderson Cancer Center logo for the fifth consecutive year. MD Anderson has been an integral part of the Houston community for more than 80 years and is known as one of the world’s most respected cancer centers focused on patient care, research, education and prevention.
Both organizations have collaborated to offer MD Anderson pediatric cancer survivors, and their families a unique opportunity to join the team as part of the festivities on Tuesday. Among the participants is Sawyer, a pediatric cancer survivor at MD Anderson, who joined the Club as an honorary captain last season. The eight-year-old is participating in his first triathlon this spring.
Sawyer is one of 13 participating patients for Tuesday’s event. Select MD Anderson patients and families will be available for interviews on Tuesday. Dynamo players, coaches and leadership also will be available for interviews at Tuesday’s event.
Houston Dynamo FC open the 2023 season on the road against FC Cincinnati at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 25. The match will stream on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
