Spring Dates Set for Soccer


BOULDER – The spring soccer season is quickly approaching for the Colorado Buffaloes. Head coach Danny Sanchez and his squad will play five dates in March and April, headlined by a finale at home against Nebraska.

Colorado’s opening spring date will be Saturday, Mar. 4, with a trip down I-25 to the Air Force Academy (2 p.m). The Buffs will also travel to Wyoming for a Mar. 11 (1 p.m.) meeting against the Cowgirls.  

The Buffs will play three dates in April, starting with a trip to the Little Apple to face Kansas State (Apr. 8).

This season’s edition of the Colorado Cup will be hosted at the University of Denver on Apr. 15. The format remains the same from last season’s inaugural spring competition. Each match will be 50 minutes. Colorado will open with UCCS at 10 am and will play Colorado College at 11 a.m. The championship match is set for 2 p.m.

The spring will conclude on Apr. 22, when the Buffs take on Nebraska at Kittredge Field. The game will kickoff at 11 a.m. and will be part of CU’s Black & Gold Day, leading up to the Buffs’ spring football game at 1 p.m. 

The weekend will conclude with a condensed version of the Colorado Cup. The Buffs will host Denver, Air Force and Northern Colorado with each team scheduled to play three 50-minute matches.
