DURHAM — Duke women’s soccer program will welcome another standout recruiting class to the mix in 2023 as head coach Robbie Church and his staff landed the No. 6 overall class. During the spring, GoDuke.com will be spotlighting each of the seven newcomers.
The first incoming freshman that will be spotlighted is Sam Bodensteiner, who is a 5-7 defender from Iverness, Ill. She attends Fremd H.S., and plays for the Sockers FC club team.
Bodensteiner helped lead Sockers FC to the Girls Academy National Finals in 2022 along with a first place finish in the Mid-America Conference. She is also a three-year starter on the Fremd H.S., basketball team.
