Monaco vs PSG – Ligue 1: TV channel, team news, lineups & prediction

Leicester and Spurs meet for the second time this season.

PSG will look to maintain their lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table when they travel to Monaco on Saturday.

The Parisians currently sit eight points clear of Marseille after back-to-back wins over Montpellier and Toulouse, though the challengers did knock them out of the Coupe de France on Wednesday.

PSG‘s task against Monaco won’t be an easy one, facing a side sitting fourth and able to move within seven points of the top themselves with a win thanks to a seven-game unbeaten run in Ligue 1.

Here’s everything you need to know about Saturday’s match.

Monaco team news

Eliesse Ben Seghir, Malang Sarr and Vanderson are all out for the next couple of weeks with respective foot, hip and knee injuries. Monaco have a full-strength team otherwise.

Monaco starting 11 (4-4-1-1): Nubel; Aguilar, Disasi, Maripan, Henrique; Diatta, Fofana, Camara, Golovin; Minamino; Embolo.

PSG team news

Kylian Mbappe has missed PSG’s last two games with a thigh injury and is unlikely to return against his former club here. Nordi Mukiele and Presnel Kimpembe are also expected to miss out.

PSG starting 11 (4-3-1-2): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Ramos, Mendes; Verratti, Pereira, Ruiz; Vitinha; Messi, Neymar.

Though it didn’t cost them any points, PSG’s cup defeat to Marseille in the week will have left their pride battered and bruised. That, coupled with Monaco’s strong form and the likely absence of Mbappe, makes this a very tough away trip, indeed.

It may be a little much to ask for Monaco to emerge victorious, but they might well deal PSG another blow and offer the rest of Ligue 1 some faint hope that the title race can remain alive.

Prediction: Monaco 1-1 PSG
