Ali Hall Named U.S. Soccer Beach Female Player of the Year

U.S. Soccer has announced that former Tennessee soccer player Ali Hall is the 2022 U.S. Soccer Beach Female Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

Known for her tremendous defensive prowess and versatility to contribute anywhere on the field, Hall finished the 2022 season with three goals and two assists in three matches played. She played a key role in leading the U.S. Women’s Beach National Team to a first-place finish at the 2022 Women’s Beach Soccer Cup in El Salvador with wins against Argentina, Bahamas, and El Salvador.

“Ali is an integral member of our Beach WNT who brings an unrivaled intensity into each game,” said U.S. Soccer Sr. Director of Technical & Grassroots of Extended National Teams Stuart Sharp“She also possesses intuitive skills that provide her with an uncanny ability to score from anywhere on the sand. With each year, Ali’s stature grows on the international stage, and I am delighted to see that we again recognize her outstanding talents.”

Hall was a four-year starter for Tennessee from 2009-2012. She appeared in 70 matches for the Big Orange, logging one goal and four assists during her time on Rocky Top. She earned All-SEC Second Team honors as a senior, anchoring a UT back line that posted 11 shutouts and a 0.69 goals-allowed average that, at the time, was the best in program history.
