Women's Soccer Has 13 On All-ACC Academic Team


The Syracuse women’s soccer program has had 13 student-athletes, including five freshmen, earn spots on the All-ACC Academic Team, which was announced on Feb. 1.

Players must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average, a 3.0 grade-point average in the most recent semester, and have played in 50 percent of the team’s contests.

Syracuse’s representatives include:

Freshman forward Alyssa Abramson (Hudson, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford), Health and Physical Education; graduate forward Chelsea Domond (Stamford, Conn./Westhill), Speech-Language Pathology; redshirt freshman forward Erin Flurey (Manchester, N.H./Central), Biology; freshman defender Grace Gillard (Bedford, England/Harlington Upper School), Psychology; sophomore Kylen Grant (Ottawa, Ontario/Bill Crothers Secondary), Health and Exercise Science; sophomore defender Emma Klein (Amherst, N.Y./Amherst), Chemical Engineering; sophomore defender Kendyl Lauher (Davidson, N.C./Cannon School), Magazine, News and Digital Journalism; sophomore midfielder Pauline Machtens (Leverkusen, Germany/Landrat-Lucas), Public Health; freshman forward Maya McDermott (Harleysville, Pa./Springside Chestnut Hill Academy), Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises; junior defender Kate Murphy (Plano, Texas/Ursuline Academy of Dallas), Supply Chain Management; sophomore midfielder Ashley Rauch (Reston, Va./South Lakes), Finance; freshman forward Anna Rupert (Arlington, Va./Washington-Liberty), undeclared in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs; and freshman midfielder Gianna Savella (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa), Health Humanities.
