Man United agree deal to sign Burnley flop Wout Weghorst on loan – by paying his current loan club Besiktas £2.5m – as striker packs his bags to fly to Manchester and races to be ready for the derby

  • Wout Weghorst is closing in on a loan move to Manchester United
  • He is ready to travel to England to sign his contract with the English giants
  • He has been left out of the Besiktas squad for their league match this weekend

Manchester United have reportedly agreed to make a direct payment of £2.5m to Besiktas to take Wout Weghorst on loan until the end of the season.

It has now been revealed that United will pay the compensation fee straight to Besiktas as they look to complete the transfer, according to The Athletic.

However, he was still able to do a personalised session in the gym, and it now appears that it was only a minor issue.

Weghorst waved goodbye to Besiktas supporters on Saturday after netting the winner in their league match against Kasimpasa.
