How to watch the Carabao Cup in the US

We’ve reached the business end of the 2022/23 Carabao Cup and those folk across the pond will surely be keen to know how they can watch all the drama unfold.

Sure, the competition may be no more than the FA Cup’s little brother, but silverware is silverware and it’s poised to be a thrilling epilogue to this season’s iteration.

Will Manchester City regain their crown? Can Erik ten Hag claim a trophy during his debut season at Old Trafford? Will Newcastle earn the trophy they need to ignite what’s poised to be an incredibly exciting period on Tyneside?

It’s narratives galore in the Carabao Cup, and here’s how all of you in the US can watch the action.

ESPN has secured the rights to broadcast the Carabao Cup in the US with most of the games being exclusively streamed on ESPN+.

For those that want to watch the remaining Carabao Cup ties, you will have to pay $6.99 a month (or $69.99 annually) to subscribe to ESPN+. This service can be used on various devices, with subscribers also being able to access games from several other European leagues, including La Liga and the Bundesliga.

Every FA Cup game is also being broadcasted on ESPN+.

Manchester United and Newcastle were the first two teams to book their spots in the Carabao Cup semi finals in 2022/23. They will be joined by two of Nottingham Forest, Wolves, Southampton and Manchester City.

City have dominated the competition in recent years, though Liverpool are the defending champions after beating Chelsea in the final on penalties last year. Manchester City knocked them out with a 3-2 loss at the Etihad just before Christmas.

The 2022/23 Carabao Cup final will take place at Wembley as is tradition. It usually kicks off at 4:30 GMT and is expected to do so again in 2023, though no official confirmation has come on time just yet.
