Ex-Paris St-Germain midfielder Aminata Diallo has signed for Levante just over three months since being charged with assaulting former team-mate Kheira Hamraoui.

Diallo, 27, was charged with aggravated assault in September after being detained by police in connection to an attack on Hamraoui by two masked strangers in 2021.

After a team meal in November of that year, Hamraoui was travelling home as a passenger in a car driven by Diallo, before she was dragged from the vehicle and beaten on her legs with an iron bar.

Hamraoui, 32, was forced to undergo stitching on her arms and legs in hospital after the attack.

Diallo was arrested at the time of the incident before being released without charge, and after being rearrested 10 months later she was then released again under judicial supervision. She still denies any involvement in the incident.

During that time, PSG chose to release Diallo upon the expiry of her contract in 2022, but now she has put pen to paper on a deal at Levante.

The Spanish club confirmed on Monday that a short-term deal until the end of the season, which also includes the option of a further year, has been agreed with the player.
