Liverpool set for ‘snub’ as Jude Bellingham ‘tells entourage’ his transfer ‘desire’ ahead of £105m switch

Bellingham to snub Liverpool

Liverpool are reportedly ‘set to be snubbed’ by Jude Bellingham as the Borussia Dortmund star has ‘told his entourage’ who he wants to play for next.

Bellingham finds himself in a great position as some of the biggest clubs in the world are vying for his signature.

This is understandable as he has been in stunning form for Borussia Dortmund and England over the past couple of years.

The midfielder is playing beyond his years and he has captained Dortmund on several occasions this season in the Bundesliga and the Champions League.

Bellingham has been linked with a move elsewhere regularly in recent months but he was never likely to depart Dortmund in the summer as they did not want to lose him and Erling Haaland in one window.

A transfer next summer is most likely and Liverpool are desperate to sign him.

The Reds will add to their attacking ranks in January as they are set to sign Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven.

Their focus will now switch to recruiting one or two new midfielders and Jude Bellingham is at the top of their wishlist.

They may be left disappointed though as GOAL are reporting that the teenager has ‘told his entourage of his desire’ to sign for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are seemingly all-in for Bellingham and they ‘will prioritise a deal for him in 2023’.

The Spanish giants are also keen on Chelsea-linked Enzo Fernandez but Bellingham ‘has always been top of their list’.

Dortmund are ‘resigned to losing’ Bellingham next summer but they are at least set to make a significant profit after signing him for £22m from Birmingham in 2020. They will reportedly ‘demand at least £105.7m for the 19-year-old’.

Liverpool are unwilling to give up though as the report adds that they ‘still hold out hope of convincing Bellingham to head to Anfield’.

This news could be a blessing in disguise for Liverpool, according to their former midfielder Dietmar Hamann.

He thinks it would be a “big risk” to spend such a significant fee to sign Bellingham.

“I’d be careful with Bellingham right now,” Hamann told talkSPORT.

“He’s an exceptional talent, he showed that at the World Cup, but if Dortmund ask for £100-million odd, £140-150 million, it’s a big risk as well.

“I think with Bellingham he’s got to find a position. He models himself of Steven Gerrard but I don’t think he’s got the ability and pace going forward like Gerrard has.

“I think you need to wait and see where he finds his spot in the midfield…
