Four Can’t-Miss Nashville SC Home Matches in 2023

What to Watch for as Nashville SC Returns to Action at GEODIS Park vs. San Jose Earthquakes

December 21, 2022 – Major League Soccer (MLS)Nashville SC News Release

The Boys in Gold are back for the 2023 Major League Soccer season.

Fans will see 11 first-time visitors to North America and Canada’s largest soccer specific stadium next season as Nashville SC returns to the Eastern Conference. Seven of the first 11 matches are at GEODIS Park, including a blockbuster opening day contest. Gary Smith’s team will also play three of their final four at home as they aim for a strong finish to the regular season.

The best way to secure your seats at GEODIS Park for the entire season is by becoming a 2023 Season Ticket Member. Each full-season ticket account will include one subscription to the MLS Season Pass on Apple TV (one per account). No blackouts and no restrictions. Learn more about Season Tickets here.

Here are four matches I wouldn’t want to miss in 2023.

Saturday, Feb 25th – New York City FC

What a terrific match up to start the new season. City are perennial Audi MLS Cup Playoff contenders – they’ve only missed the post season once in their eight campaigns in MLS. Nashville faced the Pigeons twice in the 2021 season, taking four points off the eventual MLS Cup winners. Few fans will forget the Friday night clash in September in which both teams played half the match with 10 men and a Hany Mukhtar brace gave Nashville a statement victory. This will be an early gauge of the challenge ahead in 2023 and it’s sure to be a hot ticket at GEODIS Park.

Saturday, April 29th – Atlanta United

When these two go head-to-head, there’s usually fireworks. In the case of the 2022 encounter, a lightning show too. The edge is born out of that very first MLS encounter in February 2020. Later that year, Nashville scored four goals for the first time in a revenge win over the Five Stripes. Subsequent matches have brought “that assist” from Joe Willis (in the club’s first win at Mercedes-Benz Stadium) and dramatic comebacks by both sides to claim points. Expect a good traveling contingent to drive up from Georgia and settle back for another episode of a clash that keeps delivering.

Wednesday, July 12 – Philadelphia Union

The original visitors to GEODIS Park will return in 2023 with this mighty midweek clash in the height of summer. The Union knocked off Nashville in the 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs, then threatened to spoil the opening day at ‘The Castle’ on May 1 before Randall Leal stepped up to write his own place in club history. Jim Curtin continues to develop a…
