The Chattanooga Red Wolves Foundation participated in its fourth consecutive year of giving back to families across Chattanooga and the surrounding areas this holiday season. The foundation, which continues to work to make a positive change for families in need, just concluded its annual Toys For Those In Need campaign, helped over 200 people this year. The initiative helped provide families with approximately 1500 gifts including toys, coats, stocking stuffers and more, equating to approximately $25,000 in support provided to local families in need this holiday season.

The annual Toys For Those in Need event invites families in need to CHI Memorial Stadium for brunch, a hot cocoa bar, crafts and activities, as well as the distribution of gifts sourced via generous funding and donations from supporters and club ownership. Through a focused and strong group effort, countless members of the Red Wolves organization have worked tirelessly during the holiday season to help the club give back to the community that has given so much for the club since its inception in 2019.

For those who organize the event and spearhead the event each year, it is one of the most rewarding times of the year. CHI Memorial Stadium Director Caroline McWhorter calls the event, “The highlight of the year for me and for so many of the members of the Red Wolves family both within the organization and within the community.” The event looks to provide children and their families with things such as food, clothing, toys, educational supplies, and monetary assistance for those in need.

“The Martino family and those within our organization believe that we have an obligation to give back to the community by continuing to make a positive impact here and in our surrounding communities,” McWhorter went onto say. “We have helped hundreds of families and it is our goal to grow this effort every year.”
