Three Lady Vols Land On Top Drawer Soccer Postseason Top 100 Lists


KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Three Lady Vols earned postseason recognition from Top Drawer Soccer, with redshirt-junior Jaida Thomas and fifth-year senior Mackenzie George being named to the TDS Postseason Top 100 list and Kameron Simmonds landing on the TDS Top 100 Freshmen.

A 2022 first-team All-SEC performer and All-Southeast Region honoree, Thomas sits at No. 40 on the list.  She started every game this season and concluded her 2022 campaign with 13 goals and two assists. She led the team in total points with 28 and tallied three game-winning goals. She finished the season averaging .68 goals per game to rank first in the SEC and 12th in the nation.

George, a 2022 second-team All-SEC honoree, lands on the TDS Postseason Top 100 list for the second straight year, checking in at No. 89. She started all 17 matches in which she was active, scoring four goals and dishing out six assists to finish third on the team in total points with 14.

 

On the TDS Freshman Top 100, Simmonds ranks No. 89. She appeared in 16 games for the Lady Vols, missing three games in the non-conference season to compete for the Jamaican Women’s National Team in South Korea during two friendly matches as part of the team’s World Cup preparation. As a rookie, she logged her first collegiate brace at Kentucky and scored the game-winner at Auburn to clinch a crucial 1-0 victory on the road.
