Alabama Lands Four on TopDrawerSoccer’s Best XI Teams


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –Alabama soccer had four student-athletes receive postseason recognition from TopDrawerSoccer highlighted by Reyna Reyes being named a Best XI First Team selection. Additionally, Felicia Knox earned Second Team honors, Riley Mattingly Parker was tabbed to the Third Team and Gianna Paul being named a Freshman Best XI First Team honoree.

The honors come after a historic run from the Tide that saw a program-record 23 wins and Alabama advance to the College Cup for the first time in program history.

  • Named MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist
  • Finalist for the Honda Award for Soccer
  • Earned United Soccer Coaches All-America honors
  • First UA player to earn United Soccer Coaches All-Region team four times and first to be named a first-team honoree twice
  • Named the SEC Defender of the Year and earned first-team honors
  • Selected for the College Cup All-Tournament Team
  • Tied for third on the team in goals with eight and tallied one assists as a defender
  • Third-team College Sports Communicators Academic All-America honoree

  • Earned United Soccer Coaches All-America honors
  • Named the SEC Midfielder of the Year
  • Selected for the College Cup All-Tournament Team
  • Set the single-season program record for assists (20) and assists per game (0.74)
  • Named the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Team Member of the Year while picking up first-team honors
  • Led the NCAA in assists (20) and ranked second in assists per game (0.74)
  • Ranked 11th nationally in total points with 34 after adding seven goals to her 20 assists this season

  • MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist
  • United Soccer Coaches All-American honoree
  • Named SEC Forward of the Year and SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year
  • All-SEC First Team selection
  • Paced the NCAA in game-winning goals (7), while ranking sixth in the nation in goals (17) and points (41)
  • Set the UA single-season record in points, goals and game-winning goals
  • College Sports Communicators First-Team Academic All-American

  • Named the SEC Freshman of the Year
  • Second-Team All-SEC and SEC All-Freshman Team honoree
  • Tied for 10th nationally amongst freshman for total goals (8) this season
  • Finished the year tied for third on the team in goals
  • Added five assists off the bench for 21 points
  • Scored the game-winning goal over then-No. 6 BYU
