New England Revolution Honored as 2022 Marisa Colaiano MLS Community Relations Team of the Year

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution’s Community Relations department was selected as the Marisa Colaiano 2022 MLS Community Relations Team of the Year as part of Major League Soccer’s 2022 Mark Abbott MLS Club Awards, the league announced on Monday. The league’s end-of-year awards recognize the clubs and individuals driving business, fostering innovation, and delivering value to fans and communities. The Revolution’s Community Relations Team receives the league’s top honor in recognition for its steadfast commitment to being active and engaged community members in Boston and throughout New England’s six states. The group focuses its various initiatives around five key pillars: childhood cancer awareness, inclusiveness and accessibility in soccer, concussion awareness, recognition of military and first responders, and social justice and equity.

The Revolution Community Relations department includes Vice President of Marketing and Community Relations Cathal Conlon, Director of Fan and Community Engagement Dave Campopiano, Fan Engagement Manager Matt Miller, and Community Engagement Coordinator Emily Plowman.

“We are honored to be recognized by Major League Soccer for the work affecting positive change in the New England community and our sport, led by the Revolution’s Community Relations team and the New England Revolution foundation,” Revolution President Brian Bilello said. “I am proud that our club is represented by such a talented and passionate group of individuals who work tirelessly to embody the values we hold dear as an organization. A central pillar of the Revolution Community Relations Team’s efforts is the club’s C.H.A.N.G.E. platform committed to promoting social justice and racial equity. C.H.A.N.G.E. stands for Converse, Help, Amplify, Nurture, Galvanize and Educate. In 2022, the Revolution also raised $20,000 for Boston Centers for Youth and Families through the Touches for C.H.A.N.G.E. program.
