Cristiano Ronaldo returns to train at Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to former employers Real Madrid for a private training session to keep himself fit while he searches for a new club.

Ronaldo left Manchester United by mutual consent last month and is now on the hunt for a new team. He has received an offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr but is yet to make a decision on his next move.

In the short term, he is keeping himself fit and Relevo note that Ronaldo was back at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training centre on Wednesday.

Ronaldo reached out to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to ask whether he could use the Valdebebas facilities and was warmly welcomed, with Perez telling Ronaldo he is free to train there for as long as he needs.

No current Real players were present at the session, with Ronaldo working alongside his son, Cristiano Jr, instead.

Ronaldo is expected to make a final decision on his future in the coming weeks now that Portugal’s World Cup journey has come to an end.

Offers from Champions League teams, or European sides in general, have been few and far between, however.
