Reyes, Parker, Knox Earn Alabama Soccer’s First All-America Honors


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama soccer’s Reyna Reyes, Riley Mattingly Parker and Felicia Knox became the Crimson Tide’s first All-America honorees with the announcement of the national recipients by the United Soccer Coaches organization Friday. Reyes and Parker earned First-Team All-America honors and Knox earned third-team honors for helping lead the Crimson Tide to a College Cup appearance in the midst of the program’s best-ever season.  

  • Named a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist
  • Led the Alabama defense to a program-record 12 shutouts and 23 wins this season
  • The Crimson Tide ranks 19th nationally in goals-against average (0.648) and has outscored its opponents 76-17 in 2022
  • Despite playing on the backline, Reyes has notched eight goals, third-most on the team, and recorded an assist for 17 points on the season
  • Scored two game-winning goals, including the winning goal in overtime against Duke in the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals
  • The UA senior’s goal against Duke was her second in the 2022 NCAA Tournament after scoring a goal to help lift UA to a 9-0 victory over Jackson State in the opening round
  • Made her fourth appearance on the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region team and earned her second consecutive nod as a first-team all-region honoree
  • Named the SEC Defender of the Year

  • Named a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist
  • Shattered two 17-year-old records, topping the UA marks for single-season goals (17) and points (41)
  • Netted an NCAA-leading seven game-winning goals this season to surpass the prior UA record of five set in 1994
  • Ranks sixth nationally in both goals and points while ranking 14th nationally in points per game (1.64)
  • Was named a three-time SEC Offensive Player of the Week (8/29, 9/5, 10/24)
  • Named to the United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Southeast Region Team
  • Was the first Alabama player to be named SEC Forward of the Year
  • Sixth UA player to earn SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and first to do so since Nealy Martin in 2019

  • Holds an NCAA-leading 20 assists this season, which set the UA record for most assists in a single season
  • Ranks 11th nationally in points with 34 this year, adding seven goals to her season resume
  • Averages 0.77 assists a game, second-best average in the NCAA this season
  • Has tallied eight assists off of corner kicks and another three assists off of free kicks
