ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City SC, the Orlando Pride and the Orlando City Foundation have teamed up with District 5 Commissioner Regina Hill and the Salvation Army for the Annual Turkey Giveaway presented by Publix on Monday, Nov. 21 at Exploria Stadium. The event will allow all participating parties to give back to the District 5 area, the same location that serves as the home to both City and the Pride.

This year’s event will provide 2,000 Thanksgiving meals feeding 10,000 community members, a record amount over the event’s seven-year history. Items will also be available for the unhoused residents of District 5 to ensure that all residents will have the opportunity to enjoy a Turkey dinner, as well as a drive-thru option for those that may need extra assistance.

The yearly event will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Exploria Stadium with packages available on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last.

“We are so excited to continue the tradition of inviting our community into Exploria Stadium ahead of the holiday season to help provide a Thanksgiving meal,” said Kay Rawlins, president of the Orlando City Foundation. “A massive thank you should be sent out to all our partners, staff and volunteers who have helped continue this annual event and also provide the highest number of meals we have ever been able to provide before to help more families in our community.”

“As a food retailer, helping provide nourishing meals to our neighbors in need is at the heart of who we are,” said Hannah Herring, Publix media relations manager. “It is our privilege to help alleviate hunger and do good together in the Orlando community.”

This event has been made possible through monetary, product and volunteer hour contributions from District 5 Commissioner Regina Hill, the Orlando City Foundation, players from the Club, as well as Club partners Publix, the Salvation Army, Pepsi, Frito Lay and Spice World.
