Terps Make 22nd Straight NCAA Tournament, Play FDU Thursday Night


COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The Maryland men’s soccer team (10-3-5) earned its 40th NCAA Tournament appearance overall and 22nd consecutive berth Monday afternoon as the NCAA field and bracket was revealed by the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Committee.

The Terrapins will face off with Northeast Conference champion Farleigh Dickinson on Thursday night. 

The Terps have won four national titles (1968, 2005, 2008, 2018) in school history and reached the round-of-16 in 19 of the last 28 years. Maryland’s 22 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances represents the second longest active streak in the nation. 

Maryland enters the tournament as the Big Ten Regular Season Champions and feature five All-Big Ten selections: Joshua Bolma (first team), Malcolm Johnston (first team), Nick Richardson (first team). Chris Rindov (first team) and Luca Costabile (freshman team).
