Conor Kelly Named to Third Team All-ACC for 2022 Campaign

GREENSBORO, N.C. – NC State men’s soccer midfielder Conor Kelly earned selection to the Third Team All-ACC for the 2022 campaign, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference office on Wednesday.

Kelly is the first all-conference honoree for the Wolfpack since David Loera was named to the Second Team after the 2019 season.

After transferring to NC State for his final year of eligibility, Kelly was an electric offensive force from his first game with the Pack. He accounted for seven of the team’s 18 goals on the year and also tacked on a pair of assists to total 16 points in 17 matches.

Kelly scored in each of the Pack’s first three matches of the year, with his five goals tying for the national lead through three contests. The Rumson, N.J., native notched a hat trick on Aug. 29, and it marked the first for a member of the program since at least the 2013 season.

Following the regular season, Kelly’s seven goals was tied for fourth in the league and ranked 49th nationally. He scored more goals in a single season than any player in six seasons of the George Kiefer era and the most since 2016 when Julius Duchscherer had nine.
