Miami, Fla. – The Miami Football Club announced today a partnership with Istituto Marangoni, a world-renowned fashion design school located in the heart of the Design District in Miami.

Miami FC will work with students at Istituto Marangoni to develop the club’s new Fútbol305© fashion and leisure collection emphasizing Miami’s lifestyle and soccer culture as the city prepares for the 2026 World Cup. Miami will be one of 16 host cities for the global competition. The project is set to start this month with the new collection being unveiled in 2023.

The students participating in the contest will present their concepts to a group of Miami influencers and Miami FC staff in late November. The finalists and eventual contest winners will have the unique opportunity to see their concept come to life in the newly released collection, just as the 2022 World Cup comes to an end and the eyes of the world turn to 2026. The timing of the retail line unveiling will give local fans of the sport the unique opportunity to represent their love for the world’s game and the 305, as the excitement of the World Cup descends on Miami.

A percentage of the sales from the collection will also go to the Miami Fashion Foundation, an organization that provides educational and training support in the form of scholarships, workshops, and events for the benefit of fashion students and small fashion-related businesses in South Florida. Created by Miami-based fashion executives, its main purpose is to foster, nurture, develop and promote Miami as a natural choice for the creative industries, focused on fashion, and to establish a creative operation and network in Miami for fashion enterprises and companies of all sizes to flourish and call home.

Istituto Marangoni’s president, Hakan Baykam communicated his excitement to play a role in the new retail line and community outreach of Miami FC and the Fútbol305© Initiative.

“Participating in partnerships such as this one with Miami FC allows us to expand the boundaries of fashion and design while maintaining the roots of the Miami community,” said Baykam.

Michael Williamson, CEO of The Miami Football Club, echoed the excitement shared by Mr. Baykam.

“We are thrilled to be joining forces with such a prestigious school like Istituto Marangoni where we can not only break barriers and impact the Miami community but provide resources to their talented students…
