ROSEMONT, Ill. — Nicholas Kaloukian and Nolan Miller of the University of Michigan men’s soccer team earned Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors as announced by the conference on Friday (Nov. 4).
Kaloukian, a unanimous freshman team selection, appeared in 16 matches with 12 starts in his first season as a Wolverine, recording a team-best nine points including a team-best four goals. The Wayne, N.J., native found his stride in the second half of the season, scoringin four straight matches. Kaloukian also led Michigan with 45 shots and 21 shots on goal, while logging 1,026 minutes on the pitch in his first season.
Miller started 16 matches on the backline, logging a team-high 1,408 minutes of action. The defender helped Michigan to three shutouts and ranked third on the team with six points. Miller scored three goals, including two against Penn State in the final game of the season.
Senior Christian Pulselli was named Michigan’s Sportsmanship Award honoree after appearing in 12 matches and making four starts. Pulselli scored two goals on eight shots this season.
