Duke's ACC Tournament Quarterfinal Opponent Set

DURHAM – The third-ranked and top-seeded Duke men’s soccer team will host eighth-seeded Clemson on Sunday, Nov. 6, at Koskinen Stadium. The ACC Tournament quarterfinal matchup between the Blue Devils (11-0-4, 5-0-3) and the Tigers (11-5-1, 3-4-1) airs on the ACC Network at 8 p.m.

Clemson defeated the ninth-seeded Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 3-1, on Wednesday night in the first round of the ACC Tournament.

Duke claimed its second consecutive ACC Coastal Division championship with a 1-0 victory over Virginia Tech in the last regular season match on Oct. 28. With the win, the Blue Devils earned the top overall seed in the ACC Tournament for the first time since 2006 and finished the regular season undefeated for the first time since 1999.

The Blue Devils are set to face Clemson for the first time in 2022. The two teams last met in the 2021 ACC Tournament semifinals, when Duke notched a 1-0 victory on the road. Thorleifur Ulfarsson scored the lone goal of the contest and Eliot Hamill logged a shutout, his sixth of the 2021 season.

Duke is 2-3-1 all-time against Clemson in the ACC Tournament. The two teams have historically played highly competitive ACC Tournament matches, with all but one of the previous six meetings decided by one goal or penalty kicks.

ACC Tournament quarterfinal tickets are available online ahead of Sunday night’s match. Tickets can also be purchased in person at Koskinen Stadium on Sunday. The ticket office will be cashless when accepting payment for tickets and accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard, & Visa.
