Reale Named Pac-12 Defensive Player of Week

Sophomore Lilly Reale has named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 31, 2022.

Reale led top-ranked UCLA to a pair of shutout victories over Washington State (1-0) and Washington (3-0). The Bruins have shut out four consecutive and 12 total opponents this season and allowed only eight total shots on the weekend – six by Washington State and just two by Washington. Reale, who played the full 90 in both games, scored the only goal in the 62nd minute to beat Washington State. It was her first goal of the year and second of her career.

This is Reale’s first Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week award this season and second of her career. She is the fourth different UCLA defender to win this award in 2022.
