Miller Scores a Pair of Goals, but Michigan Concludes Season with Loss to Penn State

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The University of Michigan men’s soccer team saw its 2022 season come to a close after a 3-2 loss to Penn State on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 30) at U-M Soccer Stadium.

Michigan (4-9-3, 1-5-1 Big Ten) took the early lead in the first half before back-to-back goals from the Nittany Lions put them up 2-1 in the second half. The Wolverines knotted the score in the 56th minute, but Penn State scored the game-winner in the 75th minute of to lock in the win.

Freshman Nolan Miller netted both of the Wolverines’ goals a pair of assists from Bryce Blevins and one from Brennan Callow. Sophomore goalkeeper Hayden Evans made three saves on the day and the U-M offense had 13 shots, with seven on goal.
