Men's Soccer Begins ACC Championship Journey on Nov. 6


Syracuse men’s soccer kicks off the postseason with the ACC Championship Quarterfinal on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. The Orange are the No. 2 seed in the ACC Championship after clinching the outright Atlantic Division title. An ACC Championship game will be hosted at the SU Soccer Stadium for the first time since 2016. Duke, Virginia and Wake Forest join Syracuse as the top-four seeds with first round byes. The first round of the ACC Championship will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 2.

‘Cuse will face either No. 10 seeded Boston College or No. 7 seeded North Carolina in the Quarterfinals. The last time Syracuse met North Carolina was the first round of the 2021 ACC Championship. The Tarheels ended the Orange’s season with a second-overtime goal from Milo Garvanian. ‘Cuse and Boston College shared the points in a 1-1 draw to conclude the 2022 regular season.

The Orange finished the regular season with a 12-2-3 record, their best regular season record since 2014. ‘Cuse is No. 4 in the latest United Soccer Coaches’ Poll and checked in at No. 4 in the NCAA Selection Committee’s midseason rankings.

Tickets for the ACC Championship Quarterfinal on Sunday, Nov. 6 will cost $10 for adults and $5 dollars for senior citizens and youth ages 18 and under. Syracuse students with a valid SU ID can claim a single ticket for free.
