NEED TO KNOW

•    In the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship, No. 11 Duke (11-4-2) will travel to Charlottesville, Va., to face Virginia (12-2-3) at 8 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 30.

•    Sunday’s match will be aired live on ACC Network with Ariya Massoudi (PXP) and Kacey White (Color) on the call.

•    Duke will make its 32nd appearance in the ACC Championship and owns a 15-31-3 ledger.

•    Over the last 23 road matches, Duke owns a 15-5-3 record.

•    The Blue Devils feature a 5-1-2 ledger on the road so far this year.  Duke will play its fourth road match out of the last five contests.  

•    Kat Rader and Michelle Cooper have scored the last six goals over the last two matches.  Either Rader or Cooper have scored in nine of Duke’s 17 matches.

•    In the latest NCAA RPI, Duke is eighth with its four losses coming to No. 1 UCLA, No. 2 North Carolina, No. 5 Florida State and No. 7 Virginia. The Blue Devils’ schedule is currently ranked the eighth-toughest nationally.

•    Freshman Kat Rader’s 10 goals rank first in the ACC among freshmen — Taylor Price of Virginia Tech (8) is second.

•    In 34 matches played at Duke, Michelle Cooper has tallied at least a goal or assist in 25 of those contests.

STORYLINES/OTHER BLUE DEVIL NOTES

•    Sunday will feature the top two scorers in the ACC with Duke’s Michelle Cooper and Virginia’s Haley Hopkins.  Cooper owns an ACC-best 12 goals and 33 points, while Hopkins owns 11 goals and 26 points.

•    The winner of the Duke/UVA match will advance to the ACC Championship semifinals against No. 1 seed North Carolina on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 5:30 p.m., in Cary, N.C.

•    Duke will face its seventh top-10 team this season when the Blue Devils face No. 8 Virginia.

•    Jenna Royson collected her first assist as a Blue Devil at Notre Dame.  She owns six over her career.
