Greubel’s Brace Fuels Rout – Stanford University Athletics

Colorado

STANFORD, Calif. – Graduate student Abby Greubel scored a pair of goals to fuel No. 7 Stanford’s (15-2-1, 8-1-0 Pac-12) 5-0 rout of Utah (6-7-4, 2-5-2 Pac-12) on Thursday from Cagan Stadium.

Greubel contributed the third and fourth goals of the day for the Cardinal, finding the back of the net in the 35th and 48th minutes.

Junior Samantha Williams extended the Cardinal lead to 2-0 in the 20th minute when she dribbled the bulk of the field and laced her right-footed shot to the lower-left 90 to beat Utah goalkeeper Evie Vitali. Vitali would finish the match with eight saves as Stanford put 13 of its 28 shots on frame.
