CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s soccer team travels to No. 19 Pitt at Ambrose Urbanic Field on Thursday, Oct. 27 for the final regular season match of the year. The match is set to kick off at 7 p.m. and will be streamed on ACCNX.
This marks the eighth time that the Tigers and Panthers will meet, with Clemson dominating the series, 7-0. Most recently Clemson defeated Pittsburgh 2-0 in Clemson in 2021. Hal Hershfelt and Megan Bornkamp each netted a goal in the victory. Sophomore forward Sarah Schupansky and senior forward Leah Pais lead the Pitt team with 19 and 18 points, respectively. Senior goalkeeper Caitlyn Lazzarini has 50 saves and 12 wins to her name.
The last time the Tigers took the field they picked up a 3-0 win on Senior Day over Boston College on Sunday afternoon. Senior Sami Meredith registered her first brace of her career while Maliah Morris scored her 50th career point with the game-winning goal. The previous match the Tigers earned a 0-0 draw against No. 10 Duke on Thursday night.
