Sentnor Named ACC Co-Offensive Player Of The Week

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – UNC redshirt freshman forward Ally Sentnor was named the Atlantic Coast Conference co-Offensive Player of the Week for the first time as the league office announced its weekly accolades on Tuesday.

Sentnor scored the game-winning goal in each of North Carolina’s two road conference wins last week. The Hanson, Massachusetts native provided the second-half game-winning goal in the Tar Heels’ key 2-1 road victory at No. 4 Florida State last Thursday. She then scored the match’s opening goal in a 4-0 victory at Miami on Sunday. UNC is 4-1 this season when Sentnor scores a goal.

She is tied for the team lead in game-winning goals with three and is tied for third in total goals with five.

The Tar Heels, who are tied with Florida State and Notre Dame atop the ACC standings with 21 points each, close out the regular season Thursday night at Louisville. The match is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start and will be televised on the ACC Network.
